No kidding, we’re 7 out of probably 12 of this and we just finished the plot where 25/26 happened for the first show. So let’s pull up some good background music and enjoy the show.

Ok. So.

I’ve been staying light on the spoilers for Persona 4 The Golden so far for a number of reasons. Mostly because it hadn’t really hit the plot yet. All there was to spoil was who joined your party, which is all spoiled in the opening of even the first version of the game, and the details about Marie, which have mostly been her interacting with the rest of the group for character development.

That kind of all changed this episode. This week on Persona 4 The Golden we get deep down into the actual plot of the series/game. We see who caused the first too murders and get a look at that character in a lot of detail. In other words:

This week on Persona 4 The Golden, it’s time to get the band together… for the first time. No getting the band back together. They have to stop being a band for that to happen first.

Part of me wants this announced to start shouting “HELLOOOOOO ZAWAME CITY!”

I guess the logic behind this “Gaiden/New Game+” set up is “You don’t have to grind levels or social stats so you can hang out with people more.”

I mean, what with the first episode power display and the fact the opening implies his social stats are max it makes sense. It seems like a roundabout way to make what could probably work as a few OVAs into a full series, but it works.
